About MuMe-community
The MuMe-Community is formed by a number of companies and research groups at universities and R&D centers, who are active on products and services along the entire value chain of multimedia.
In Flanders (and in adjacent regions), a lot of companies are developing and selling multimedia products in many divers sectors: digital television, video surveillance, medical image systems, games, web applications, digital libraries, newspapers, health care, …
The target public for this community are professionals interested in advanced multimedia technology and standards, that are willing to actively share public information on the member on-line platform and to discuss technical topics in accompanying working sessions, which are organised 3 to 4 times a year.
A small annual member contribution is requested from commercial organisations to cover the operational costs.
Mission
The mission of the MuMe-Community is to make available and to exchange publicly available technological information concerning new developments and standards in the multimedia domain.
The members of the Community have built up a lot of technical knowledge, each from its own point of view, but still have a permanent need for correctly interpreted, structured and up to date technical information and trends.
The goal of the MuMe-Community is to bring together these parties and to organise and stimulate the exchange of - and discussion on - public information among its members.
