On November 13 and 28 and December 13, a 3 half-day course is organised on:
Recent developments in video compressionstandards: an in-depth technical review of MPEG-4 Scalable Video Coding (SVC) and an overview of other on-going standardization efforts.
This course will consist of three parts:
The first part will give an overview of Video coding. We will introduce basic principles and give an overview of thedifferent standards available.
The second part will first review H.264/MPEG-4 Advanced Video Coding (AVC) Core Technologies, and will then go in depthon the Scalable Video Coding (SVC) and theMultiview Video Coding (MVC).
The third part will give an overview of the different applications using Video Coding.
