5th MuMe work meeting held on Aug 31 in Leuven
28 persons from 15 member organisations registered and attended the 5th work meeting of the MuMe-community on August 30 in Leuven.

28 persons from 15 member organisations registered and attended the 5th work meeting.Wondering if the timing of the work meeting, just after vacation, has impact on the number of attendees, we will investigate the possibility to schedule the coming work meetings in such a way that the summer holiday period is avoided.

Community status
- 23 organisations signed the membership agreement
- 206 people subscribed to the online platform
- 44 technical documents are posted on the online platform
- The new open website for the MuMe-community (www.mume-community.com) is on-line and in use to promote the MuMe-community activities to the open world.
- Also the new logo as well as the template for MuMe-community presentations is in use.
Upcoming events
- On September 13, in cooperation with LSEC, a half day course is organased on DRM. More info on this course can be found via: DRM event 13-09-2006
- On Nov 13+28 and Dec 13, in cooperation with VUB, 3 half day sessions are organised on advanced video coding techniques including AVC/SVC. More info on this course as well as the program can be found on: Video coding, recent standards and applications
- The 6th work meeting of the MuMe-community will be held in Leuven on November 30, 2006. Proposed topics are:
- 1. Multimedia activities at EDM [UHasselt]
- 2. Multimedia in the car [Philips]
- 3. Streaming Media [Belgacom]
- 4. HW vs SW implementation [?]
