Feedback from the Participants

During the presentations and the informal gathering afterwards, the comments on the presentations were all positive. Everyone enjoyed the material presented, the enthusiasm of the speakers, the open atmosphere of the work meeting and the possibility to interact with other participants.

Community status

  • 28 organisations signed the membership agreement
  • 206 people subscribed to the online platform
  • 53 technical documents are posted on the online platform. This is a more than 20% increase since last meeting.
  • The new open website for the MuMe-community (www.mume-community.com) is on-line and in use to promote the MuMe-community activities to the open world.
  • Also the new logo as well as the template for MuMe-community presentations is in use.

Upcoming events

  • On Dec 13, in cooperation with VUB, the last session of the 3 half day session course on advanced video coding techniques including AVC/SVC, takes place. More info on this course as well as the program can be found on: Video coding, recent standards and applications

  • As date for the 7th work meeting of the MuMe-community, February 15 or March 8, 2007 are proposed. The date will be fixed asap in coordination with the speakers. Proposed topics are:
    • 1. Multimedia research activities at Hogeschool Antwerpen [HoSch.Antw.]
    • 2. Image processing for Trafic [Traficon?]
    • 3. HW vs SW implementation [?]
    • 4. MPEG status / Multiview Video Coding [IMEC]
    • 5. IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) [?]
